1923 Cast: Meet the Actors and Characters Behind the Yellowstone Spinoff
Taylor Sheridan might not have made 1923 if it weren't for the cast he secured for the series. The Yellowstone creator told Deadline that he wrote Jacob Dutton specifically for Harrison Ford — and that he didn't begin writing until Ford committed to the role (which he did over some wine). After Helen Mirren signed on, Sheridan was ready to find the rest of his cast and write. "When you can find anchors like Harrison and Helen, then it lets me go and discover the next generation of movie stars, which is my favorite thing to do," Sheridan said.
