A FAMILY has been left distraught after their nine-month-old pup suffered multiple injuries after falling down a 20ft open water drain. White Labrador Milo suffered a fractured eye socket and broken ribs, owner Emily Bailey said.

Though Yorkshire Water has offered to cover some of the vet bills, Emily said more needs to be come to bring them to account. Emily's partner had taken Milo out after her young son, 3 \- who suffers from epilepsy \- stayed home after experiencing a seizure. Emily has blasted Yorkshire Water after they offered her a meagre £250 to cover Milo's pet insurance excess before upping it to £500. She's concerned Milo's injuries could resurface in the future and his injured leg could worsen as he gets older given that breed of dog is prone to leg problems. Emily said she would have accepted the offer had it been ...set in stone that he 'Milo ' would be looked after.... She said: ...It is not about the money for me. I want some accountability. It should not have happened in the first place.... She said Milo is recovering but isn't ...the same dog he was 48 hours ago.... ...I can feel the anxiety from him, when normally he's such a carefree pup.... A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: ...We were sorry to hear about the incident involving Milo and are currently looking into the circumstances surrounding it. ...While the circumstances of the incident remain unclear, we have offered to pay Emily's pet insurance excess and an additional payment as a gesture of goodwill. ...We have also offered to consider any future veterinary costs for Milo that may arise as a result of this incident. "Emily has decided not to accept this offer and is intending to take legal action, so we will not be able to comment any further."

Her attorneys say prosecutors are scapegoating her because Epstein is no longer alive. The trial continues.

What is Joe Biden's stimulus check plan? The seventh batch of $1,400 stimulus checks has been sent to Americans as IRS processes tax returns, as of April 2021. About two million payments were issued in the latest round, bringing the total to date to about 163 million. It means the payments sent out over the last six weeks are worth roughly $384billion. The latest batch includes approximately 1.1 million direct deposits and 850,000 paper checks. These went to Americans who had recently filed a 2020 tax return and met certain income criteria. Under Biden's stimulus bill, people with an adjusted gross income of up to $75,000 and couples with an adjusted gross income of $150,000 or less are eligible for full payments.

Biden introduced his stimulus package during a prime-time address on January 14. He previously tweeted his support for a $2,000 stimulus check but instead announced he'd send out $1,400 to make up for the difference following Trump's $600 checks. Critics slammed Biden for the $1,400 checks, which are $600 less than the amount he initially called for. The drop in money came despite Biden tweeting: ...$600 is simply not enough when you have to choose between paying rent or putting food on the table. His push for more money comes weeks after Donald Trump first urged the coronavirus relief bill to have a round of $2,000 direct payments. Fellow Democrat Chuck Schumer has said that stimulus checks will be a priority when the blue party takes control of the Senate. ...We need $2,000 stimulus checks....
