Wealthy tech moguls, startup owners, and venture capitalists have been ditching high-tax Los Angeles for Las Vegas, which they see as a friendly haven for businesses. Las Vegas has become a favorite destination, but Nevada as a whole is quite alluring to those who no longer want to pay California's 8.84 percent corporate tax rate. Nevada, also known as the Silver State, levies no taxes on corporate income or shares.
